NUDE TO ME follows filmmaker Danny Berish as he explores his family history which surprisingly leads him to Canada’s oldest nudist club.

With a rich history, and nestled high in the hills of North Vancouver’s spectacular Fromme Mountain, it’s a secluded forest paradise regularly visited by local “bares”. Here club members can pitch a tent, take a dip, soak up the sun, pad across the property, go for a hike, play badminton, cook up some hotdogs on the BBQ, jump in the hot tub or sauna, and enjoy all the perks of a true nakation. The au natural club, saw a steep rise in membership coming out of WW2, including visitors traipsing in from all around the globe. In the last decade or so, membership has been shrinking, causing concern for many of the current and longstanding club members. 

But Danny is not coming to sign up to be the club’s newest private member, not yet anyway.  Recently he learned that his whole existence is in part because his grandparents met at a nudist club and then later married. For Danny, learning his origin story is big and it’s taken him to the buff bluffs of a chilly mountainside in British Columbia, and deeply out of his comfort zone.
